Food banks, food pantries, soup kitchens, and faith groups offer free Thanksgiving meals. Support is available for anyone who needs help putting food on the table during the holidays. So this year, let us help take away the stress of providing a holiday meal.

Thanksgiving Meals

Millions of families are struggling, and the holidays make those challenges more obvious. However, there are charities as well as churches, including local Salvation Army centers or a Catholic Charity parish, that have free holiday toys and meal programs available. They accept applications that help children, the unemployed as well as the elderly. The goal is to ensure that every family has both a food basket and some type of Holiday gift given to them.

Holiday Assistance Information

Learn the warning signs of heat exhaustion and heat stroke so you know what to do if you or someone else starts to feel sick. Stay healthy by taking a few precautions during the summer months. Visit Health Department Washtenaw County for safety information and cooling sites in Washtenaw County.
