Special Education Programs

The WISD Special Education Department provides services and programs to the county's nine school districts, supporting the efforts of local school districts, public school academies and private schools. In collaboration with the counties, families and students, WISD provides leadership, professional development, program options, transitional services, early childhood education, and classroom support.  The Special Education department directly implements services for approximately 300 students with significant and low incidence disabilities from birth to 26 years old and court involved youth.
