TIENET is the software package Washtenaw County School Districts are using to manage and monitor a child’s entire special education process. This software helps the child’s team make sure the plan in place is in compliance with state and federal regulations.
TIENET means – Technology & Innovation in Education. Teachers use TIENET to create an electronic record of the IEP. Some teachers type into TIENET during the meeting to save time. The software has automatic reminders that appear to make sure that important steps and decisions are not overlooked.
TIENET provides assistance and leadership to educators and schools regarding current education issues. The state can monitor compliance with special education law by looking at TIENET data.
The schools of Washtenaw County believe the move to TIENET is a great step forward for all of our county’s children with disabilities.
